About Iron Sound Records
Iron Sound Records originated in 2016. The founding member had been active on the Reggae scene since the late 1980s; previously managing other labels including: Reggae Retro Records, Next Step and Top Beat.
Initially, ISR was intended as an outlet for Alien Dread productions but swiftly expanded to embrace other artists; thus transforming into an umbrella label.
The releases to date feature: Alvin Davis, Asha B, Steven Wright, Monkey Jhayam, Peter Lewis, Kendrick Andy, The Blackstones and Frank Luz, all primarily on Alien Dread rhythms. There are occasional singles produced (in part) by Gadd59 Music Productions. Gadd59 also help with online promotion and have been a musical partner for over 20 years. Our primary focus is the production of authentic Rocksteady and Reggae sounds, using a combination of traditional analogue equipment, combined with virtual studio tech.
Aside from physical media, our music is now available through most digital vendors and streaming services. We also exclusively showcase many new singles on Bandcamp, before mainstream distribution.
